As a boat owner, it is bad luck not having a name for your boat, right?
I am not a person filled with old superstition in regards of thinking it is bad luck not naming your boat.
Anyhow, I decided it needed a name. After some heavy consideration (and as far as I can recollect, a few cognacs) I fell for the name Usynkelig..2, in english this will be Unsinkable..2.
What happened to Usynkelig 1? The myth, the legend. Some claim it set sail from Southampton in 1912. Others speculate it was my first boat, a Sigerfjord 17.5 feet with a noisy 55hp Yamaha at the back I sold to a few years back. We dont speak about Usynkelig..1. 🙂
Also, it is a bit fun to have such a ambigous name for a boat, quite a few conversations and laughter on its behalf. And that is what boating is about, have fun, socialize and also have 18 feet of total relaxation available.
This is from I just had bought the boat, my uncut diamond. A lot of potential (and work to be done).
